Services

Here's a list of just a few of the library's many services:

  • Telecirc - an automated telephone system that allows you to renew your books, check your fines, and find out what you have on hold. Call (940)720-6624.
  • Self-check - Avoid the lines at the Circulation Desk by checking out your books all by yourself. Simply place your library card in the slot, and then put your books on the machine one by one.
  • Computer Lab - Computers in the lab and in the main room have Internet and Microsoft Office programs. To use the lab you must have a WFPL library card in good standing.
  • Internet Guest Cards for Visitors - Available for 1/2 hour use per day for adults who do not have a WFPL library card. ID required.
  • Friends of the Library Bookstore - Used books for sale.
  • Book Discussion Group - Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:45 in the Conference Room.
  • Public copiers - Two copiers are available in the main library.
  • Microfilm and Microfiche reader/printers - The Library has several machines available in the Equipment Room. Copies are 10 cents per page.
  • Two full service Reference Desks for adults and children. Call 767-0868, ext 234 (adults) or 243 (children) or e-mail us at ref@wfpl.net
  • Children's Story Time - During the school year we have story time for toddlers each Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
  • Kid Zone computers - In the children's area we have four computers with many educational and fun programs.
  • Interlibrary Loan - We are full OCLC members and can obtain materials from thousands of libraries. Information and request forms are available at the Reference Desk.
  • Summer Reading Program for all ages.
  • Drive-up drop boxes located on the east side of the library.
  • Three study rooms seating up to 6 people are available on a first-come-first serve basis.
  • Meeting rooms are available for use by non-profit groups for a fee with reservations. These are located on the second floor of the library.
  • Texshare lending privileges
  • Exhibit space in the Library's foyer for community groups to use. Available by reservation at 767-0868, ext 233.
