WFPL is now a Bluebonnet Award voting site!

Texas Bluebonnet Award

The Wichita Falls Public Library is now a Bluebonnet Award voting site!  In order to vote, you must be in grades 3 – 6 and read at least 5 of the books nominated this year. 

If you vote, you're entered for a chance to be a student representative -- 10 students from around the state will go to the Texas Library Association conference in Austin and present the award to the author!

Check out our new tree! The folks at Sacred Heart very generously gave us this tree, from their Vacation Bible School, to brighten up the Youth Department.  It's HUGE -- about eight feet -- and looks fantastic.  It really brightens up that corner (which was sadly bare before), and we have big plans to make the "leaves" red and orange in the fall.
